Davido rose to fame after releasing “Dami Duro”, the second single from his debut studio album Omo Baba Olowo (2012) and in January 2016 signed a record deal with Sony Music at just 24 years old.

Davido’s career has transformed over the last 10 years and so has his fashion and looks. Here is how Davido’s style has evolved over the years.

 

2012

DAVIDO

At the beginning of his career, Davido rocked tank tops, neck chains, and black sunglasses.

 

2013

DAVIDO

For his 21st birthday, Davido was announced as the Editor-at-Large of Teen Y! and he wore a snapback, blue top, jean trousers, and his favorite gold chains at the time.

 

2014

DAVIDO

At the 2014 BET VIP Party for nominees from Africa, Davido wore his signature snapback hat, multi-colored top, poker dot shorts, a pair of sneakers, and of course, his signature gold chains.

 

2015

DAVIDO

From 2015, there was a little change in the singer’s sense of style. At least he traded his snapback for a Fedora hat while still keeping his style casual.

 

2016

DAVIDO

2016 marked a new era for Davido as he signs a multi-million dollar deal with Sony Music. He also kicked his style up a notch.

 

2017

DAVIDO

At MOBO Awards 2017, the singer looked more mature and refined. Davido rocked a white shirt and black pants which looked good on him.

While Davido’s style evolved, he became obsessed with luxury denim, tops, and sneakers. He also started purchasing a lot of diamond-crusted chains worth millions of naira.

 

2020

DAVIDO

In 2020, while on set for “Jowo” music video, Davido wore a blue Jalabia with golden embroidery and more body tattoos.
